Beaudin Barrett remembers his time in St. Fiach’s ……..
The International All-Black, Beaudin Barrett returned to St. Fiach’s on December 5th. A skilled former mid-fielder, Beaudin played Gaelic football with St Fiach’s U10 and St Brigid’s GFC where he showed early promise. He now plays at No. 10 out half, recently playing against Scotland, Wales and Italy in the Autumn internationals. He made his international debut against Ireland in June 2012, although he was already the proud holder of a world cup medal, which he won with the U20 All Blacks in 2010.
Staff, Pupils and Parents would really like to thank Beaudin for his time – his performance of the haka was awe-inspiring!
We really appreciate his visit; he gave freely of his time, with a lively Q & A session with the classes. He assured the children that hard work and perseverance comes to fruition, advocating a healthy, balanced lifestyle. As he reminisced about his time in St. Fiach’s and Ballinacree, he also treated some lucky pupils to a quick ball session which they will remember forever.
