Mr Farrell, Ciarán and David present Mr Kenny with a paper log made in school and other home /green/sustainable produce, in appreciation of his visit.

On 29th November, unfortunately a cold, dark, damp day, we held our Energy Awareness day: no energy was used in the school that day apart from the bulb in the fish tank! We realised how much we use our laptops, photocopier, kettle, laminator, oven, microwave, juicer, CD player, shredder, not to mention the lack of light and heating. We certainly now appreciate how much energy we use and possibly how we can use even less – e.g.we don’t need lights on when the CD player is on. It is certainly an interesting exercise and we will have an energy free day each term. Try it at home!
