It was a great pleasure to welcome the ever popular ecologist Dale Treadwell to St. Fiach’s recently. Dale shared some wonderful stories with the children and helped them to appreciate the beauty of our natural environment. The children had the opportunity to examine some creepy crawlies and there were some myths about bats put right!
Dale kindly prepared an area of our school grounds suitable for a wild garden for bees and insects to have a natural habitat. We are really looking forward to watching the garden grow and develop throughout the spring and into the summer months. Dale also gave our infant classes a hands-on lesson in gardening. Thanks to Dale for his time and we look forward to seeing him again soon.
