Today the PACT (Programming and Algorithms = Computational Thinking) team from Maynooth University Department of Computer Science visited our school. The children in the senior end of the school worked in teams to solve computer science problems. Computational Thinking is a set of problem solving skills that computer scientists use when they do their everyday work. It intersects with all STEM fields. This activity puts emphasis on the process of solving the problems, working as a team, listening to your teammates and clarifying your answers. It’s important to remember that it’s not always about the result.
