Martry Mill Visit (5th and 6th)

Our 5th and 6th Class students visited Martry Mill recently. Martry Mill is a family-run watermill along the banks of the River Blackwater, halfway between Navan and Kells in Co. Meath. The mill has a rich history dating back to its oldest record from a land survey referencing “a tumbledown old mill” in 1323. It has survived famines, wars, floods and pandemics. Through a renewed interest in food and the growth of food tourism, Martry Mill continues to flourish.
