Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!

As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.

We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.

Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

6th Class Graduation 2020

Our 6th class students celebrated their graduation on Monday, June 22nd. Whilst it wasn’t our usual style of graduation, we thoroughly enjoyed creating a special experience in St. Brigid’s GAA grounds. Students, families and staff came together in this unique event to give our students an opportunity to tell us about their favourite times from school and release balloons containing their hopes and dreams for the future. Thank you to Mr. McHugh and Mr Donohoe for organising this special event and most importantly, thank you to our 6th class students who have been a pleasure to teach over the last 8 years. We wish them all the best in the future and look forward to hearing about their successes.

Active Home Week (April 27th – May 1st)

As part of our Active Flag Award we planned to have Active School Week next week. Instead we are going to have Active Home Week. I have attached some information on what you can all do at home. Each child can fill in their chart with 4 different activities every day and send it back at the end of the week. Keep it fun and varied! There are 2 different charts attached – one can be printed and filled in and the other can be filled out online and emailed back to your teacher.
