Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!

As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.

We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.

Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Ballinacree to Beijing with Fr. Alo

We had a wonderful visit from Fr. Alo Connaughton last week who talked to our 5th and 6th class students about his time in China. He gave a fantastic presentation on the modern history of the world’s most populated country. Fr. Alo is doing wonderful work abroad and it’s always a pleasure welcoming him back to his native Ballinacree!

Cook in Schools – Pádraig White (The Forge)

We had a special visit from Pauric and Irene White, founders of ‘Cook in Schools’, on Wednesday, May 23rd. Pauric and Irene gave all our classes a great demonstration through their ‘learning by doing’ approach. The children got to make homemade bread and marinate chicken – all healthy food options. Most importantly, we got to eat our food after! Special thanks to our fantastic Parents’ Association for funding the visit. Thanks Pauric and Irene for lending us your expertise.

New Playground Markings – 23/05/18

Wow! Check out our new playground markings! The front of our school has transformed into a new playground! Our children are so excited about using them this week! Special thanks to our wonderful Parents’ Association for funding our new display. Míle buíochas!
