Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!

As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.

We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.

Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Cumann na mBunscol Medal Presentation

The Cumann na mBunscol medals were presented to our victorious players on Celebration Day. It was a really proud day for St. Fiach’s NS on Saturday June 10th in Pairc Tailteann. It was an honour to welcome Meath football stars Mickey Burke and Michael Flood to our celebrations. We really appreciated the lads taking time to present our boys with their medals. They were over the moon!!

Farewell Dr. Bennett!

We would like to bid farewell to Mrs. Bennett and wish her the best of luck in her new role in Dublin. Fr. O’Connor summed up Mrs. Bennett’s  achievements in his tribute to her. The Parents Association also presented her with a parting gift and we had a few lovely words from Ann Russell too.

Graduation ceremony

Our 6th class students had the opportunity to share some of their primary school memories with their parents and teachers. We would like to wish you all the best in secondary school. Remember – Always try your best!

Congratulations on your graduation!

Celebration Day

We were blessed with super weather for our Celebration Day 2017. This year we achieved our 3rd Green Flag, the JEP 2017 flag, Pride of Place Level 5 Award and the Discovery Primary Science and Maths Award. Well done to all the students who delivered the speeches and raised the flags. Thanks to Mary for supplying the cake and to our fantastic Parents Association for providing refreshments.

St. Fiach’s Cup 2017

To conclude Sports Day 2017, we held our annual St. Fiach’s Cup soccer final. Both teams put on a great display of skill and fair play. Congratulations to John’s team on their win! Thanks to all the students for taking part over the last few weeks and thanks to Mrs. Bennett for presenting the medals and trophies. Maith sibh!

Sports Day 2017

We held our Sports Day on Thursday 22nd June and thankfully the weather stayed fine. We started off the day with the class races and relay races with some fine sprinting on display! We also had our 8 stations set up which included the spud and spoon race, tug of war, balloon race and the sack race. Well done to all for participating and thanks to last year’s 6th class for lending a hand. Thanks to Michael Flood and all the teachers for organising the day.

We also had a special visit from the U14 Div 5 winning cup and some of the Inny Gaels players. Thanks to Sinéad, Martin and Seán for bringing the cup down to the school. Congratulations on you success!
