As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.
We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.
Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Congratulations to all our Junior Entrepreneurs who attended the regional finals of the Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) in Trim recently. It must have been a daunting task presenting their products in front of many other schools but our young entrepreneurs did a wonderful job. We got presented with our JEP plaque and flag. Well done to everyone involved. We are so proud!

Our Junior Entrepreneurs are coming towards the end of their 10 week programme. On Friday they showed off their products and presented them very well to many parents who kindly gave up their time to attend. Well done to everyone and best of luck to the teams who are travelling to Trim in April for the regional finals.
The Junior Entrepreneur Programme is an entrepreneurial awareness and skills enhancement programme for primary school children.
The programme aims to help children recognise enterprise and entrepreneurship and to foster an awareness and understanding of the entrepreneur’s role in the community therefore empowering the child to start to think and act with the initiative, creativity, independence and ideas that are invaluable in the modern world.

We recently held our Health Promotion Week in St. Fiach’s. We undertook many worthwhile activities to promote physical and mental health. It’s important that all parents continue with the promotion of healthy lunches and physical activities. We urge all parents to be aware of their child’s internet usage and habits and not to allow children to have codes or unlocked phones etc. All parents should be able to see what their children have accessed, messages sent and received. Please be aware of Snapchat, Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and their potential inherent dangers when unsupervised.
A special thanks must go to all our staff, Mr. Foster and Michael Flood for organising all the wonderful activities. Here is a quick rundown of the activities undertaken during the week.
Gymnastics, Circle time – Bullying, Friendship signs, Fruit Smoothies, Healthy breakfast morning, Art – Selfies, SPHE – Award a petal, Food pyramid, What’s in your lunchbox?, Boxing and Circuit Training with Mr. Foster, GAA and playground games.
Please enjoy our gallery of all our fun activities!
