As part of our continued support to lift off to literacy, we had a pyjama party recently at St. Fiach’s. A special thanks must go to the Parent’s Association for giving up their time to come in and read stories to the children. It was a wonderful evening and the children had a great time! We hope they slept well that night!!

Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!
As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.
We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.
Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Be Active Week 2015/16
Our annual Active Week took place on 21st-25th September. Once again we had an action packed week. Here are some of the activities that took place and a gallery of photos showing the children have fun;
Monday – Healthy Breakfast morning – the children were asked to bring a bowl, spoon and milk to have a healthy breakfast with their friends.
Tuesday – Walk a mile with a smile – the children took a walk to Katsie Browne’s for some light refreshments and then walked back to the school.
Wednesday – GAA coaching with St. Brigids GAA. A session with members of Meath Athletics.
Thursday – Activity stations – 8 stations with great activities for each class.
Friday – Bling your Bike! – the children brought in their bikes, trikes and scooters into school.

Friendship Week 2015
Friendship Week is an important part of our school year and it’s a wonderful way to welcome all our students back to school. Many games and activities took place during the week with a focus on inclusion and anti-bullying. Well done to all for their participation and remember ‘A good friendship never sinks!’.
Fáilte ar ais roimh gach duine!
The summer is over and it’s school time again! We are looking forward to another school year at St. Fiach’s NS. We would like to give a special welcome to our new Junior Infants for 2015/2016 and we wish all our students our best wishes for the coming school year.

Flag Day Celebrations
We had a very special day on the 18th June to celebrate our achievements for the academic year 2014/2015. It was wonderful to share our achievements with parents, grandparents and the wider community of Ballinacree. As well as achieving our 2nd Green Flag this year, we also received our Junior Entrepreneur and Health Promoting Flags. Special thanks to Fr. Alo, Mr. Briody and Carmel Halpin for raising our flags proudly.
