Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!

As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.

We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.

Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Labhairt as Gaeilge amháin do 24 uair a’ chloig

We celebrated ár dteanga dúchais on November 10th by speaking Gaeilge for the day. The children received t-shirts and wrist bands to wear for the day and there was over €700 raised for Conradh na Gaeilge. Míle buíochas to all parents, relatives and friends for helping the children fill their sponsorship cards. Rinne gach duine an-iarracht.             Maith sibh!!

Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2015

Thanks to Jim Lalor from St. Christopher’s Hospice for coming to St. Fiach’s to collect the money that we raised on our Coffee Morning. The funds will be shared between St. Christopher’s Hospice and Meath Home Care.

We held our very own Coffee Morning on September 17th to raise badly needed funds for local hospice services. The morning was a great success. Our 3rd-6th classes played music throughout the morning. We would like to thank all the families and friends for attending the event in Ballinacree Community Centre. An event like this could not be held without the generosity of our wonderful parents who were very busy baking cakes, tarts and buns. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

Pride of Place 2015

We are delighted to announce that we have attained Level 3 in the Pride of Place School Garden Scheme 2015. This is the highest level that can be achieved. Well done to all students who took part especially the Pride of Place Committee under the guidance of Dr. Bennett.

It was great to come back to school to see that all our vegetables had grown and were ready to pick. We grew potatoes, celery, sweet chilli peppers, cabbage, broccoli, tomato and sweetcorn. unfortunately our spinach and French beans were eaten by some nasty slugs!   Here are some photos of the children picking and eating the produce.
