On Friday 10th October we held our annual Trad for Trócaire session. The children were very busy over the last few weeks practicing and preparing for the day. A huge thanks to all the children from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes for their excellent solo and collective performances. A special mention has to go to the wonderful children from 1st and 2nd classes. With only a couple of lessons, they were able to put on a great show. Well done guys!!
Thank you to all parents and families who supported our event especially Brendan Melia and Seamus Smyth who joined in with their instruments. We raised over €300 for Trócaire which makes us very happy!

Our annual Active Week took place recently. We had a jam packed week of activities and fun!
Monday: Activity stations – each class participated in various fun activities at break times. Tuesday: Breakfast morning – each child brought in their healthy breakfasts to fuel the brain for the day! Wednesday: WOW – Walk on Wednesday. The whole school walked from the school to Katsies Brownes and back. Thursday: Champions Day – All the children brought in their medals and trophies that they won. Football, soccer, rugby, Irish dancing, Art and athletics are just a few of the many activities that out talented bunch take part in! We’re so proud! Friday: Bling your Bike – We had a wheelie good time on the final day of our fantastic week! All the children had the opportunity to bring in their bicycles, skateboards and more.
We had a wonderful week and a huge thank you to all the parents who helped out during the week. Your tremendous support is always appreciated.
September 1st was the beginning of our Friendship Week. We completed many activities and lessons during the week relating to the importance of friendship. Our most amazing achievement was our ‘Friendship chain’ around the school. Well done everyone and remember ‘Stop……think……words can hurt’!
As part of Friendship Week, each class were asked to put on a variety of tasks to show the importance of our friends!
The senior classes produced some beautiful artwork and slogans to show how much they appreciate their friends. ‘A Friendship never sinks!’
1st and 2nd classes sang the popular Toy Story song ‘You’ve got a friend in me’. They were wonderful!
Our Infant classes put on a wonderful singing and dancing performance. Superstars!!!
