Welcome back to all pupils at St. Fiach’s for the academic year 2014/2015. Let’s have another fantastic school year!

Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!
As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.
We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.
Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

The 2014/15 Parents’ Association AGM will take place in St Fiach’s NS on Wednesday 24th September 2014 at 7 pm.
There will be a number of important issues discussed, which may affect your child/children in the immediate future or longer term, so please attend, be informed and make your vote count. The School Self-Evaluation and School improvement plans will be discussed by the Principal, who is available on the night to answer general questions. For queries for a personal nature, such as Learning Support resources available to particular children, please make a separate appointment.
The School Self-Evaluation initiative was introduced in all schools in the 2012/13 school year. St Fiach’s NS has engaged in this process enthusiastically and it has become part of our whole-school practice, helping teachers on improving the learning experience for every student, in every classroom, everyday. Many thanks to all members of the school community – staff, parents, pupils and the Board of Management – for conducting, answering, collating and analyzing a number of surveys and questionnaires during the year on a variety of topics.
A summary SSE report has been issued, including a legislative and policy checklist, along with a summary school improvement plan. If you would like to discuss any of the documents, please call into Dr Bennett for a more detailed explanation of strategic developments, literacy plans, numeracy stations etc.
