Jack Blake and Eleanor Connell represented our school in the Meath Finals on November 6th 2013 in Páirc Tailteann – and were both highly placed. Well Done!

Flag Day! September 27th 2013
September 27th was a very special day for all in St Fiach’s NS. We held a flag raising ceremony to celebrate our Green Flag Award, our Active Flag award and our European Blue Star Flag. Many thanks to all who celebrated our day with us in many different ways and to the Parents’ Association for their support.
Special thanks also to Charlie O’Neill, who took such lovely photographs on the day and accompanied his Aunt, our Guest of honour for the Green Flag ceremony, Mrs Kathleen Fulthorpe (Gillick) whose father was Principal of St Fiach’s in the 192os. She was delighted to note her excellent attendance in Junior Infants in the Leabhar Rolla.
Mr Michael Heery was our Guest of Honour raising the European Blue Star Flag, and Mr Conor McHugh, our Guest of Honour raising the Active Flag, also had a session with the children afterwards, which was much appreciated by all.

Junior School Tour
Wednesday 19th June was a very exciting day for our junior classes. We went on our school tour to Newgrange Farm. This was Infants’ first experience of a school tour and they thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Viewing all the animals, milking a cow, a tractor ride and feeding the birds and goats were among the many activities provided for us on the day. Special thanks to our tour guides for all their help. Our children were very well behaved throughout the day and we are really proud of them for making the day extra special!!
Graduation 2013
Congratulations to our 6th class students who had their graduation ceremony on Monday 17th June. Many thanks to Mrs Patricia McCormack, our guest of honour, for her words of wisdom. Thanks also to members of the Board of Management for refreshments and to the Parents’ Association for the memorable cupcakes – really thoughtful and much appreciated.
We wish Aoife, Órla, Lisa, Shannon, Dillon, Anthony, Damien and Oisín all the best for the future and thank you for the memories! Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh!
