As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. We learned all about bridges in Geography and Science. We read about the different types of bridges like ‘arch bridges’ and ‘suspension bridges’. We investigated which bridges would hold the greatest weight. The corrugated bridges was by far the strongest. We were given a month to design and make our own bridges. We used all kinds of materials and had a lot of fun making our own bridges. Our teacher was so impressed, he couldn’t get over them!
We had lots of fun exploring local habitats to see what animals live there. We found some interesting looking bugs, slugs and other creepy crawlies. Thankfully we only discovered herbivores and there were no carnivores were waiting for us!!
Welcome back to all our students for the coming school year. We’d especially like to welcome our new junior infants and Ms. Duggan to St. Fiach’s. We wish all our staff and students the very best for 2022/2023 school year.
The whole school said farewell to the wonderful students of 6th class. We wish them all the best in secondary school. Please don’t forget about us!
