Another fun Maths Week at St. Fiach’s. Infants had help from the 5th and 6th class students on their shape hunt and Mr. Farrell and Ms. Sorohan’s rooms ‘buddied up’ for their school yard Maths trail. Well done all! There was great participation on Mangahigh again this year with plenty of medals achieved. Maith sibh!
We had our last coaching session on Wednesday in St. Brigid’s GAA grounds. The coaches had wonderful, healthy treats for all the children at the end. Special thanks to Martin, Brendan, Patrick and Kathryn for all their help!
Our senior classes are being put through their paces, every Wednesday morning, in St. Brigid’s GAA pitch. There is a wonderful club/school link in place and we look forward to the sessions for the rest of the autumn term. Special thanks to the St. Brigid’s GAA coaches for sharing their coaching skills.
Our Gardening Club have been busy working on the school gardens. It is important to get the trimming done before the winter sets in! Thanks to Jim and Mr. McHugh for directing proceedings!
Lights……….Camera………Action! There was great excitement on Thursday morning as Sinéad Hussey and her cameraman landed at St. Fiach’s to do a piece on our connection with, All Black superstars, the Barretts. Our children behaved impeccably again and are a credit to the school. Come on Ireland!

We have completed our Cumann na mBunscol, boys and girls, fixtures for 2019. Thanks to all the boys and girls for their huge effort in every game. We are very proud. Thanks to Mr. Donohoe and Mr. Farrell for organising the games. We are so lucky to have such wonderful parents who offer up their time to bring the footballers to the away games.
