Fáilte go Scoil Naomh Fiach!
As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.
We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.
Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Bizworld Ireland 2016
Our 5th and 6th classes took part in a BizWorld Ireland workshop. BizWorld Ireland is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes entrepreneurship skills for young people. They deliver workshops in primary schools nationwide, where pupils learn about money management and enterprise in fun and creative ways.
Each group are taken through the entire entrepreneurial cycle – from company formation and applying for jobs in their companies, to market research with younger classes in the school, and then designing, producing and marketing their business idea. The children produced some wonderful PowerPoint presentations to pitch, ‘Dragon’s Den’ style! Well done everyone

O’Connor for a beautiful service. Thanks to Dr. Bennett and her choir who put on a marvellous performance on the day. A special mention goes to Ms. McKenna and Mrs. Clavin for their hard work in preparing the children for the sacrament.

Proclamation Day 2016
At St. Fiach’s NS, we celebrated our Proclomation Day on Monday March 14th 2016. As part of the celebrations, our students performed ‘A Triumph of All Sorts’, a play by Damien White. The play described the main events of The 1916 Rising including the historic reading of the Proclamation. We also had some wonderful instrumental, singing and Irish dancing performances on show. Well done to all our fantastic students. A big thank you to Seán McCabe for his display on the day. Special thanks to all our teachers, especially Ms. McKenna, Mr. Farrell and Dr. Bennett, for orchestrating the event.
After the play we held our flag raising ceremony at the school. Special thanks to Frank and Seán O’Meara for raising the flag. Frank is the grandfather of three of our students: Lucy,Kelly and Amy. It was a great honour to have these two men attend our event. In 1985 they wrote the lyrics for the very popular song ‘Grace’ which was sung beautifully by Caitlin and Jules during the play.
An event like this wouldn’t be possible without the assistance of our wonderful Parent’s Association. They provided refreshments for everyone in the hall and the school. Thanks to Seamus for the use of the Community Centre. Thank you to all who attended our special events. We hope you enjoyed your day. Please enjoy our gallery below:
