As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.

September 13th, 2016 marked 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl – the world’s number one storyteller.
The students and teachers of St. Fiach’s NS are huge fans of Roald Dahl’s books so it was fitting that we celebrated the day. The children were given the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters and each teacher read extracts from some of his famous books. Please enjoy the gallery from the day:
Welcome back and best wishes to all our staff and students for the school year 2016/17. We would especially like to welcome our new junior infants to St. Fiach’s and we wish them all the fun in the world on their journey through primary school!
To finish off a very busy year at St. Fiach’s N.S, we honoured our hard work and achievements by having a Celebration Day on Thursday June 23rd.
This year we successfully renewed our Blue Star Flag and Active Schools Flag. We were also presented with our Yellow Flag of Diversity and Digital Schools of Distinction this year. We also achieved Pride of Place level 4 as well as Discovery Primary Science and Maths Award. Special thanks to all the students, teachers and parents for making these achievements possible. Thank you to Senator Aidan Davitt, Michael Heery and Fr. O’Connor for assisting us in the flag raising ceremony. Also thanks to Fr. O’Connor for leading the celebrations for our end of year school mass.

As part of our Celebration Day, the 6th class children prepared stories of their experiences over their 8 years at St. Fiach’s. Both parents and teachers are very proud of their academic and extra-curricular achievements. Thanks to Ms. McKenna for preparing a wonderful presentation of photo memories. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!!

At St. Fiach’s, we encourage all children to get involved in extracurricular activities. Within community events, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and enjoy themselves. Our pupils have had great success in their pursuits and below are just a few examples of this.
