As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. Nestled in Ballinacree, our school is a place where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. At St. Fiach’s, we celebrate the individuality of each student, helping them develop into confident and compassionate individuals, fully aware of their unique talents and role in the world.
We are especially proud of our rich tradition of academic excellence, participation in sports and the arts, and our commitment to environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Green Flag program. Our dedicated staff fosters a spirit of curiosity and creativity, guiding students through a range of enriching activities, from Seachtain na Gaeilge Week to Active Week celebrations, where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Our Catholic ethos inspires us to create a nurturing environment where children can deepen their faith, develop lasting friendships, and cultivate a positive attitude towards life. Tá sé mar aidhm againn cabhrú le gach páiste a bheith sásta agus muiníneach, agus muid ag forbairt ár gcreideamh mar phobal láidir agus tacúil.
Go raibh míle maith agat as do spéis, agus tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as d’eolas a fháil faoi Scoil Naomh Fiach.

Well done to all our students for their participation during Maths Week 2021. We had plenty of activities including: Guess the number of Jelly Beans, online #MathsWeek events and maths trails.
During Maths Week, the children of 5th and 6th class had great fun working together to solve problems. From problems created by the PACT team in NUI Maynooth to cracking the code of the Escape Room activities. We even got a little creative with Tangrams and the construction of spooky haunted houses. A great week had by all.
Our 1st and 2nd class students are partaking in the Athletics strand of the PE curriculum. Thanks to St. Brigid’s Athletic Club for allowing us the use of their fabulous new facilities. Well done to all concerned for the realisation of this project!
Special thanks to Ian, from Meath GAA, for coaching our students over the last 2 months. They have learned valuable skills and are really enjoying the process.
We had great fun on our last day before the mid-term!! All the students dressed up and there were some fantastic costumes on show! Baby Shark also made an appearance!!
We had a wonderful assembly to lead us into the mid-term break. Thanks to the children for some fantastic recitals of their poems and songs. Well done to all on their extra curricular achievements.
Comhairgeadeas le Gaeilgeoirí na Míosa. Rinne siad an-iarracht lena gcuid Gaeilge i rith i Mí Meán Fómhair agus Deireadh Fómhair. Maith sibh agus leanaigí ar aghaidh.
