As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. We keep our PE equipment in the shelter shed. It is well labeled and accessible during breaks (without Covid restrictions). We check it regularly and discard old and broken gear.
We are an Active School since 2013 and we hope to renew our flag this year. We are partaking in many events throughout the year including ‘Feel Good Fridays’, Active Breaks, Steps Challenges, ‘Take on the Teachers’ and Active School Week.
Our 6th class students came up with a fantastic Active School slogan:
Being Active is Real Fun. Jumping and Running in the Sun!
Thanks to the students in Mr. Donohoe’s classroom for organising a fantastic Easter Hunt with the younger students. They had great fun finding the clues and earning their lovely Easter eggs! Cáisc shona daoibh!
1st and 2nd class students were exploring the ‘Procedural writing’ genre in literacy this week. They also put the methods to the test by making the buns in the recipe!
