As Principal of St. Fiach’s N.S., I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community. End of School Year 2018/2019

And so we’ve come to the end of another fantastic school year. Well done to all our students who made a superb effort throughout the year. Best wishes to all our departing 6th class students. Congratulations to all our ‘Spirit of the Year’ winners and to those who had impeccable attendance records. Special thanks to Mr. McKiernan and Colette Gammell for substituting this year. They were a great addition to the staff and school and we really enjoyed having them with us.

Paper Bags – 6th class school play

‘Paper Bags (Abbey Khan) is a dramedy about a new teacher’s first day in a classroom. The students attempt to mess with the new teacher and become disruptive. Worst of all, when Miss Cort arrives, she finds all the students wearing paper bags over their heads! She doesn’t let them defeat her and she turns the tables on them! This powerful and timely play challenges who we think we are!’

Parents and teachers had a great treat on Graduation Night! Our 6th class students performed a play called Paper Bags. We are so proud of everyone for putting in a huge effort over the past few weeks. Thanks to Sheamus for allowing us to use the Community Centre. Special thanks to the wonderful Kyle Riley who shared his expertise with the students and helped them express their dramatic qualities! Maith sibh Rang a Sé!

Graduation 2019

Congratulations to our super 6th class students who have come to the end of their primary education. We had a wonderful evening on Wednesday, June 19th. There were memories shared and tears shed! Thanks to the parents for supplying refreshments on the night.

We wish each and every 6th class student all the best next year and for the future!

 

Sports Day 2019

Thursday, June 20th 2019

Thankfully the weather held up for our annual Sports Day! We had great fun down at St. Brigid’s GAA pitch for all our activities. We had some highly competitive class races and relays. Each class also participated in the 8 various active stations. Spud and spoon, sack race, balloon race and tug-of-war were some of the activities on show. Well done to all for participating! Special thanks to Hughie and St. Brigid’s GAA for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities.
